Junior guard King McClure, a major Arkansas target, scored 50 points in the championship game of the Westlake Holiday Classic Tournament in Austin, Texas on Dec. 28.
McClure, 6-3 1/2, 208 pounds of Triple A Academy in Dallas hit 7 of 9 three point attempts, 12-14 from two point range, 5 of 6 free throws along with 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in a 92-73 victory over previously undefeated San Antonio Alamo Heights. He was named the tournament MVP.
