Report: Turner transferring to Arkansas State

University of Arkansas linebacker A.J. Turner (left) and Tevin Mitchell put the stop on Tulsa receiver Keyarris Garrett during Saturdays homecoming game at Razorback Stadium.

— Former Arkansas linebacker A.J. Turner will transfer to Arkansas State, according to Scout-affiliated website AStateNation.com.

Turner missed the 2013 season with a wrist injury. The Lepanto native was named to the Southeastern Conference's All-Freshman team in 2012 after recording 53 tackles, including 12 in the season finale against LSU.

Turner was one of four Razorbacks to transfer following the 2013 season, alongside running back Nate Holmes, cornerback Ray Buchanan Jr. and linebacker Myke Tavarres.
