Thursday recruiting tidbits

The feedback from defensive line prospects about the hiring of Rory Segrest as Arkansas' defensive line coach has been limited. Most are waiting to find out more before making a comment.

Commitment Bijhon Jackson of El Dorado- "I'm excited to have coach Segrest on board and I'm ready to meet him. I will form my own opinion about him when I meet him and get coached by him."

Solomon Thomas of Coppell, Texas doesn't know of Segrest but said the following "Sounds like an amazing coach. I can't wait to meet him."

Arkansas will host around seven to nine prospects on Jan. 17. Jackson, RB Juan Day and TE Jack Kraus will be visiting that weekend while others will be revealed once they get on campus.

Several new names will be visiting over the the three weekends the Hogs are hosting recruits. It appears the Hogs have seven spots remaining left for the 2014 class.

A prospect who perviously had ruled out Arkansas said he's still considering the Hogs.

Junior DE Jonathan Ledbetter of Tucker, Ga. said he received an offer from Arkansas on Wednesday. He said he's talked with cornerbacks coach Taver Johnson and he's looking into the Hogs. Video highlights CLICK HERE

WR Cody Hollister- Around five on Saturday

CB Chris Murphy- Saturday

WR Jared Cornelius- About noon on Saturday.

DE commitment Jake Hall of Springdale Har-Ber has added 10 pounds and now weighs 240.

Springdale TE Josiah Wymer of Springdale said he's suppose to talk to offensive coordinator Jim Chaney within the next two weeks. He has offers from UCA and Stephen F. Austin. He still considering a preferred walk-on spot with Arkansas but is waiting to talk to Chaney before making a decision.

LB Kenny Young of River Ridge, (La.) Curtis will be making his official visit on Jan. 24.

Coach Rob Hinson of Slickerville, (N.J.) Tibercreek said WR Adnois Jennings will not be visiting Arkansas. He committed to Pitt at the Semper Fi game.

Junior TE C.J. O’Grady, 6-4, 230, 4.8 seconds on the 40 yard dash, of Fayetteville has received an offer from Ole Miss. The offer is his first,.

He's also receiving interest from Arkansas, Arkansas State, Oklahoma State, Missouri, Mississippi State and LSU.
