Bijhon Jackson

Arkansas defensive line commitments Bijhon Jackson and JaMario Bell said they talked to defensive line coach Rory Segrest on Thursday.

Jackson of El Dorado said he and Segrest talked for a few minutes and Segrest was someone he would like to be around. Segrest told Jackson that he planned to come see him as soon as possible.

Bell, a junior from Junction City, said Segrest was a laid back guy who knows what it takes to produce a dominate defensive line.

2015 defensive end commitment Hjalte Froholdt of Denmark said the following about Segrest- "Well he seems like an awesome guy. But can't really say before i've met him. But he has a lot of experience, both in college and in the pros. Which i think is awesome."

Bentonville sophomore quarterback Kasey Ford, 6-5, 237 said he recently hit 93 MPH during a velocity workout for baseball. He completed 107 of 185 passes for 1,846 yards and 22 touchdowns while leading the Tigers to the Class 7A state title.

Junior receiver Jaelan Austin, 6-2, 190, 4.48 of South Grand Prairie High School in Texas said he has a top five of Arkansas, Texas, TCU, Texas A&M and Iowa. He reports having 12 scholarship offers, including the Hogs.

Junior offensive lineman A.J.Harris, 6-3, 290, 4.9 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Stilwell, (Kan.) Blue Valley recently added an offer from Arkansas. He attended the Hogs' two day Elite Prospect Camp in July. He and offensive line graduate assistant Eric Mateos are from the same area in Kansas City.

Harris said he plans to return trip to Fayetteville in the future.

9:35 update

As of now, the current plans for Rogers linebacker Zack Wary are to officially visit Tulsa on Jan. 17, Wake Forest on Jan. 24 and Boise State on Jan. 31. No date set yet for Oklahoma State.

Wary officially visited Arkansas Dec. 13.

Junior defensive lineman Jozie Milton, 6-3, 294, 4.9 of Clinton, (La.) Silliman Institute said he has received an offer from Arkansas this morning. Highlight video CLICK HERE

Junior receiver La'Michael Pettway of Nashville has received an offer from Ole Miss. Also has offer from Nebraska. Arkansas is showing strong interest. Video highlight CLICK HERE

Fayetteville junor tight end C.J. O'Grady of Fayetteville said Wake Forest offered him today. OLe Miss has also offered.

6:32 update

Safety Shawn Boone, 5-10, 180 pounds of West Palm Beach, (Fla.) Dwyer said on Thursday that he was still considering Arkansas and had the Hogs in his top three along with Penn. St. and North Carolina State but didn't want it public at the time.

He was the prospect mentioned in Thursday's tidbits that was still considering the Hogs after he at one time had taken them off his list. It can now be reported because his coach told a reporter the same thing today.
