Monday recruiting tidbits

U.S. Army All American defensive tackle Bijhon Jackson is trying to lure defensive end Solomon Thomas to Fayetteville.

Arkansas defensive line commitment Bijhon Jackson of El Dorado came away impressed with defensive line coach Rory Segrest during his official visit over the weekend.

The visit was the first time Jackson had a chance to talk to Segrest face-to-face. He said he felt like he had known Segrest for awhile.

Jackson said Segrest treated he and his parents like family.

As reported in Sunday's recruiting tidbits, Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema, offensive line coach Sam Pittman and defensive line coach Segrest visited offensive line commitment Brian Wallace Jr. of St. Louis Christian Brothers.

They also stopped by to see his teammate and defensive line commitment Armon Watts. In a text message, Watts said "Coach Segrest is a good guy and a good coach.I really look forward to him coaching me."

2015 defensive end-tight end commitment JaMario Bell of Junction City said Segrest will attend his basketball game on Thursday.

Junior running back Alex Barnes of Pittsburg, Kansas said Arkansas offensive line graduate assistant Eric Mateos visited his school on Friday. He said he and his mother are discussing a date to visit Fayetteville. Video highlights CLICK HERE

As reported by Jeremy Crabtree of ESPN, Arkansas is showing interest in receiver Zach Reuter of Columbia, (Mo.) Rockbrige.

Dollarway athlete Josh Liddell has decommitted from Arkansas State. He will officially visit Arkansas this weekend and make a decision shortly afterward. He visited Boise State over the weekend.

2:05 update

Tight ends coach Barry Lunney Jr. visited Rogers high school today to visit with linebacker Zack Wary. Wake Forest is also suppose to visit the school today and make an in-home visit tonight.

Wary took an official visit to Tulsa this past weekend. He 's going to take an official visit to Wake Forest this weekend and will finish up with one to Boise State Jan. 31.

Coach Bielema is scheduled to do an in-home visit on Sunday. Wary will get back into town about 6 pm on Sunday from the Wake Forrest trip. The Demon Deacons have offered.

Cornerbacker Cornelius Floyd of Miami Gulliver Prep will announce his decision after hosting Bielema on Sunday for an in-home visit. Times for the in-homes for Wary and Floyd are being worked out.

As of now, Arkansas is expecting six official visitors this weekend. As with all visiting weekends, the list could and will likely change.

Miami Killian defensive end Anthony Brown has decommitted from Florida International. He said he'll do an overview of where he wants to go after his official visit to Miss. St. this weekend. He said he won't visit another school after Bulldogs trip.

Brown, 6-3 1/2, 235 pounds, visited the Hogs over the weekend. He also has offers from Florida International, Mississippi State, Michigan State, Cincinnati and others.
