Holmes transfers to McNeese State

Former Arkansas running back Nate Holmes has transferred to McNeese State, Cowboys Coach Matt Viator announced Wednesday.
Holmes, a junior, will have immediately eligibility at McNeese State, a Football Championship Subdivision member of the Southland Conference.
Holmes, from Port Arthur, Texas, played in four games for Arkansas last season and rushed six times for 17 yards. He played in nine games as a freshman and rushed three times for 10 yards, returned two kickoffs for 38 yards and 11 punts for 70 yards.
