Saturday updates

Joshua Liddell

As reported last night, the six official visitors scheduled to arrive on Friday did so.

Running back Jonathan Williams is hosting defensive end Solomon Thomas while receiver Keon Hatcher is hosting receiver Kendrick Edwards. Safety De'Andre Coley is hosting either receiver Jojo Robinson or linebacker Randy Ramsey.

Hearing all the visitors enjoyed themselves during the traditional Friday night dinner.

A few random thoughts, it would be fair to say Arkansas stands a good chance of getting athlete Josh Liddell of Dollarway, linebacker Randy Ramsey of Fort Lauderdale, (Fla.) Dillard, receiver Kendrick Edwards of Miami Norland and receiver Jojo Robinson of Miami Northwestern. A sweep of all four wouldn't be shocking, but that's no guarantee.

The Hogs are also in good shape with cornerback Cornelius Floyd of Miami Gulliver Prep and defensive end Anthony Brown of Miami Killian. Floyd will announce decision after an in-home visit with Coach Bret Bielema on Sunday. An announcement from Brown could come soon after his Miss. St. visit. Michigan State was trying to get a visit from Brown but that appears unlikely.

Others that Arkansas appears to have a good shot at are Solomon Thomas, offensive lineman Andrew Mike of Tucson, Arizona, offensive lineman Frank Ragnow of Victoria, Minnesota, Chanhassen, linebacker Zack Wary of Rogers and cornerback Lamont Simmons of Jacksonville, (Fla.) Raines.

There will be others visiting next weekend, including defensive lineman Breeland Speaks of Jackson, (Ms.) Callaway.

There could always be a surprise or two, but the list above appears to be Arkansas' best bets.
