Ryne Stanek was promoted to Class A Advanced in the Tampa Bay Rays organization Sunday.
The former Arkansas pitcher was 3-4 with a 3.63 ERA in nine starts with the Bowling Green Hot Rods, the Rays' Class A affiliate, before being called up to the Charlotte Stone Crabs.
He also had 46 strikeouts in 44 2/3 innings pitched while walking only 13 batters.
Stanek was named a midseason All-Star in the Midwest League last month.
