Williams places twice at Junior Championships

Arkansas freshman Regine Williams checks her time on the scoreboard after finishing in the 200 meters during the third day of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field West Preliminary Meet at John McDonnell Field in Fayetteville.

Arkansas' Regine Williams finished fourth in the 200m dash at the 2014 USATF Junior Championships in Eugene, Ore., Sunday.

Williams, who will be a sophomore for the Razorbacks next year, ran the 200m in a time of 23.65, finishing 1.16 seconds behind the winner. LSU's Jada Martin was the only SEC athlete to finish ahead of her.

The fourth-place finish gave Williams her second top-eight finish of the weekend. She came in seventh in the 100m dash with a time of 11.62 seconds. Martin was again the only SEC athlete to finish ahead of her.

Fellow rising sophomore Torry Feole was the only other Arkansas athlete to compete at the Junior Championships. She ran the 800m in a time of 2:14.96 and didn't qualify for the final.

It was Feole's first meet since injuring her hamstring the week before the SEC Outdoor Championships in May.
