Promising receiver planning Arkansas visit

2016 receiver Roddrick Bryant liked what he saw of Arkansas.

Junior receiver Roddrick Bryant knows of Arkansas thanks to two former teammates and Razorback freshmen, offensive lineman Brain Wallace and defensive lineman Armon Watts.

Bryant, 6-3, 180, 4.55 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of St. Louis Christian Brothers said he stays in touch with Wallace and Watts. He plans to visit the Hogs later this month. Video highlights CLICK HERE

“Brain and I text about everyday,” Bryant said. “Armon will send some crazy snapchats. Both are funny guys.”

He has a scholarship offer from Illinois and is drawing interest from Arkansas, Florida State, Michigan, Auburn, Iowa, Iowa State and Nebraska. He recorded 26 receptions for 411 yards and 2 touchdowns in 8 games as a sophomore.

He desires a school where he feels comfortable with coaching staff.

“A personal bond,” said Bryant, who’s been communicating with Hog offensive line graduate assistant Eric Mateos. “I like when coaches actually seek out and try and bond with me, They call, I call them and just talk stuff outside of school, outside of football. I think that will really get to me and then go check them out in person as mush as I can.”

Bryant tore his ACL in April in a non-football accident and considers himself about 75 percent healed and is aiming to get back into action in the the second or third game.

“Actually coming down some stairs,” said Bryant expelling his injury. “It was wet and I slipped It was a horrible incident. I’m in rehab right now and it’s actually going pretty fast. I’m running and I’m about to start cutting.”
