Flowers named to another watch list

Arkansas defensive end Trey Flowers runs through a drill during practice Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in Fayetteville.

Arkansas' Trey Flowers is one of 81 players on the Nagurski Trophy watch list, which was announced Thursday morning.

The award, which is given to the nation's top defensive player, is the second to name Flowers to its watch list this week. The senior defensive end was also named to the Bednarik Award watch list Monday.

Last season, Flowers made 44 tackles for the Razorbacks, including a team-high 13.5 tackles for a loss. His play earned him second-team All-SEC honors.

This is the sixth time an Arkansas player has been named to a watch list this week, joining running backs Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams (Maxwell Award), tight end Hunter Henry (Mackey Award), punter Sam Irwin-Hill (Ray Guy Award) and himself (Bednarik Award).
