Entering the day seven strokes behind the leader, Stacy Lewis needed a big day to get back in contention for the Women's British Open at Royal Birkdale Country Club.

The former Arkansas and current world No. 1 golfer did just that Saturday, firing a 2-under 70 to move into a seven-way tie for seventh place. She is three shots behind the leader.

Her round included four birdies and only two bogeys.

World No. 3 Inbee Park leads the tournament at 4-under after shooting third-round 68. The 36-hole leader, Mo Martin, struggled Saturday. She shot a 5-over 77 to fall to 1-under and into the seven-way tie with Lewis.
