“He’s been hitting me up lately,” Williams said. “He just wants me to keep Arkansas in mind. He asks me whether I’m fully committed and I told him I’m still open, just trying to get a feel for everything.”

ESPN rates him the No. 5 running back, No. 79 overall prospect in the nation and No. 19 recruit in Florida, Arkansas has several Floridians on the Razorback squad,

“I would love to surround myself with Florida players, so I can feel comfortable and just do what I do,” Williams said.

Williams, who has offers from Arkansas, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Ohio state and others. rushed for 1,072 yards and 3 touchdowns on 180 carries last season at Orlando Olympia High. He transferred and will play his senior season at West Orange.

He’s trying to learn more about the Hogs.

“I really don’t know much,” Williams said. “If I get a chance to go up there, I plan on learning a lot about Arkansas.”

Prospects like to go where they’re wanted. Williams is no different.

“Really just a lot of love and a school that really wants me and wants to use me as an upcoming freshman and get a lot of playing time,” he said.
