Arkansas Elite Camp and visit updates

Numerous prospects will participate in Arkansas' Elite Camp while others will be making unofficial visits.

Registration begins at 10 am. Updates will be posted during the day.

Add offensive lineman Evan Applegate to the list of prospects visiting Arkansas this week. He'll be on campus on Saturday.

Applegate, 6-7, 285, 5.1 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Shawnee, (Kan.) Mill Valley has offers from Arkansas, Oklahoma State, Minnesota, Kansas State and others.

2016 S Chanse Sylvie-Shreveport Calvary is one to watch. Might have a shot at an offer. Has Texas Tech offer.

S Kylan Johnson of Dallas Skyline is visiting today. Picked up an offer from Hogs earlier in the week.

RB Reggie Gallaspy, who's visiting with his father, is working out at the camp.

2016 CB Kiondre Thomas ran a 4.44 in the 40. He had a 4.11 shuttle and a 9.11 broad jump.

S McKinley Whitfield ran a 4.59.

S-LB Baron Browning had a 4.62 in the 40 and 4.32 shuttle.

Avery Johnson had a 4.65 in the 40, 9.35 broad jump at 215 pounds.

RB Justin Curry had a 4.61 in the 40.

Reggie Gallaspy ran a 4.50 in the 40 at 220 plus pounds. Very impressive physical specimen.

Junior CB Raleigh Texada of Frisco Centennial HS in Texas at the camp. His older brother, Ranthony is a CB at TCU and was recruited DB coach Clay Jennings.

His parents and little brother also made the trip.

S Kylan Johnson rode up with DL Joe Broadnaxof Dallas Bryan Adam. They'll leave this evening. Could the Hogs get a commitment from Johnson on the trip? Time will tell.

There are approximately 60 athletes on hand.

DE McTelvin Agim is up to 258. He was weighing 247 in the spring. The added weight is definitely in the right spots. Much bigger upper body than in the spring.

RB commitment Rawleigh Williams has just arrived for his visit. Hos mother will see the campus for the first time.

2016 QB Breylin Smith of Conway is smooth with his footwork. Has increased his arm strength since last fall. Really like his future.

QB Ty Storey is having his usual good day. Nothing new there.

THere's a 6-7, maybe 6-7 QB from Houston that will be going into his junior year at the camp that has loads of potential. Will try and fine out his name.

2017 LB-S Baron Browning is very, very impressive. He's 6-3 and around 220.As reported earlier, he ran a 4.62. Wouldn't be surprise if he receives an offer.

2016 S Chanse Sylvie of Shreveport Calvary looked very good in drills. Very athletic kid that moves very well. Good looking athlete.

Junior CB Raleigh Texada of Frisco Centennial has been timed at 10.6 in the 100 meters. He's one to keep an eye for the future.

2016 LB-S Nehemiah Augustus of Patterson, La. is a very good looking athlete. Probably in the 6-0, 215 range. Very fluid.

2017 S/LB Baron Browning of Kennendale, Texas has received an offer from Arkansas. He also has offers from Baylor and Oklahoma State.

P Blake Johnson tweeted he has received an offer from Arkansas.

S McKinley Whitfield said Arkansas would be in touch with him. No offer at this time.

WR Dominique Reed said he's not committing right now. He'll take an official visit Aug. 3-5.

6:45 update

S Kylan Johnson of Dallas Skyline said he was somewhat tempted to commit during his visit but still plans to hold off on a decision until the season. He plans to make san official visit to Fayetteville.

He said he felt at home during the visit.

TCU DL commit Joe Broadnax of Dallas Bryan Adam said Coach Bret Bielema spoke well of him and liked his talent. He said he should know in a few days if he receives an offer or not. If the Hogs do offer, it looks like Arkansas would have a very good shot at him.

2017 S/LB Baron Browning of Kennendale, Texas said he was very surprised by the offer. He said the offer puts the Hogs up there on his list. He also has offers from Baylor and Oklahoma State.

8:36 update

Punter Blake Johnson said on Recruiting Thursday radio show he's leaning towards the Hogs after today. He's on his way to LSU and expects the Tigers to extend an offer.

He said he'll probably make a decison early next week.

Avery Johnson said TE coach Barry Lunney Jr. told him the Hogs would stay in touch with him.
