Emily Tubert won her first professional event Saturday, winning by one stroke at Mission Hills, Calif.
The tournament was the 18th event on the Cactus Tour this season. The Cactus Tour is used by first-year professionals, like Tubert, as well as other professionals during the off-season and amateurs, to improve their game.
Tubert, who concluded her All-American career at Arkansas this spring, finished the tournament at 7-over, one stroke ahead of four golfers at 8-over.
She is scheduled to play one more event before attending Qualifying School, where she will attempt to earn her LPGA Tour card.
