Louisiana DE has Hogs in top two

Arkansas was the first SEC school to offer defensive end Reggie Walker.

Defensive end Reggie Walker has Arkansas and Florida as his top schools and is looking to officially visit the Hogs.

“I hope to get to visit them pretty soon,” Walker said. “If I can’t get up there this summer, I’ll definitely go to a game or something in the fall.”

Walker, 6-2, 230, 4.56 of Ponchatoula, La. has approximately 18 scholarship offers, including Arkansas, Florida, Arizona State, Kansas, Kansas State and Texas Tech. Video highlights CLICK HERE

His lead recruiter, receivers coach Michael Smith likes Walker’s skill set.

“He told me I could be a real good fit,” Walker said. “He knows I have the attitude and speed and mentality and go down there and be a leader and make the team better.”

Walker believes Ole Miss and Mississippi State are close to offering

“They’re both really interested in me,” he said.

Walker, who has a 320 pound bench press, 485 squat, 295 power clean and 35 inch vertical, recorded 72 tackles, 15 sacks, 13 other tackles for losses, 3 forced fumbles and recovered 2 fumbles last year.

Early playing time will play a big role in Walker’s college decision.

“I have to see who’s committed to them?, “ Walker said. “What’s my chance of playing?.”
