Camp for LR prep school being conducted on Saturday
A prep school plans to be open in Little Rock this fall and will give athletes another option towards their goal of playing college football.

Offense - Defense Sports , Inc. , which is the headquarters for the longest existing youth football camps in the USA , announces that it is expanding it’s football outreach by forming an educational college extension of eight ( 8 ) Prep Colleges , all of which will field college football teams this fall. The expansion kickoffs are slated to begin a Southeast Region League in year one ( 2014 ) . The state of Arkansas , with Little Rock’s War Memorial Stadium , will serve as home for the Arkansas college team .
An introductory mini - camp information session and workout for all interested players is set for saturday , June 7, 2014 at War Memorial Stadium , in Little Rock , Arkansas. Current high school graduates and others who have any existing college football eligibility remaining are encouraged to attend . All student - athletes may register at the stadium or may register online at O-D.COM .
Players who wish to register online can go to this site , click on to SCHOOLS and obtain the necessary registration information . Registration in person at War Memorial Stadium will begin at 10:00 AM on the 7th of June and will continue until 12:30 Noon . Upon completion of the registration and lunch break an educational and information session will take place at the stadium at 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM to be followed by a fundamental football drills & skills mini - camp . Players are instructed to bring turf football shoes, t - shirts & shorts .
President of Offense - Defense Sports, Inc. , Rick Whittier , has stated , “ Our organization has witnessed hundreds of talented young players over the years that only required a little extra academic and athletic support to attain their goals. With this effort we fully intend to provide that crucial support that they need . Our longstanding relationships with coaches from the major colleges will serve as a valuable recruiting pipeline for many of these deserving young men.”
The Director of the Prep - College Launch , Randy Pippin , is a veteran college coach who added , “ Our organization is excited about our ability to impact , educate and develop aspiring high school athletes through our Prep College program. “
In addition to the state of Arkansas , who will compete in the western division of the southeast , will also include the states of Texas , Oklahoma and Louisiana . The eastern division will consist of a team in the state of Georgia , Alabama , Tennessee and North Carolina.

Linebackers engage in positional fundamentals
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM -------Kickers / Punters / Snappers / Return Specialists
will engage in related fundamentals & drills 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM ------- Quarterbacks / Running Backs / Receivers /
Defensive Backs & ( again ) Linebackers will engage in related fundamentals & drills
Linebackers and any 2 way performers ( in some position areas ) will be involved in both sessions from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM . THE ABOVE TIME SCHEDULE IS TENTATIVE & WILL ACTUALLY BE EXECUTED ACCORDING TO THE NUMBERS OF STUDENT - ATHLETES

Longtime veteran pro football coach , major college coach and financial investor , John Jenkins , will conduct the mini - camp fundamental drill workout at War Memorial Stadium , along with an experienced cast of veteran staff and assistant coaches .
