Anderson, Oliver go on draft's second day

Arkansas second baseman Brian Anderson was drafted by the Miami Marlins in the third round of the MLB Draft.

Anderson was the first Razorbacks player to be selected in this year's draft. He batted .328 with 7 home runs and 51 RBIs while playing in all 65 games as a junior.

Razorbacks right-handed pitcher Chris Oliver was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the fourth round of the draft with the 112th overall pick. Oliver was 9-4 on the mound in 16 starts as a junior, recording a 2.51 ERA.

The first Arkansas signee selected in the draft was Sam Hentges, a 6-foot-6 left-handed pitcher from Mounds View High School in Minnesota. Hentges was drafted in the fourth round by the Cleveland Indians with the 128th pick overall.

Rounds 3 through 10 of the draft will take place Friday, with rounds 11 through 40 scheduled for Saturday.
