Derrick Graham visit update

Derrick Graham

Linebacker Derrick Graham of Wauchula (Fla.) Hardee visited Arkansas today and came away impressed with the coaches and the facilities.

Graham, 6-4, 218 pounds, 4.75 seconds in the 40-yard dash, has scholarship offers from approximately 15 schools, including Arkansas, Mississippi State, Iowa State, SMU and Marshall. He said he thought about committing, but wants to see other schools and think things out.

He sat down with defensive coordinator Robb Smith and linebackers coach Randy Shannon and went over their plans for him should he be a Razorback. They told him he could play the Sam spot and some Will.

He also talked to Coach Bret Bielema and heard about the Florida players on the team. After talking to the coaches, he's confident they know how to turn the program around.

Graham said the academic presentation was very good. He called the stadium amazing.

He said an official visit to Arkansas is a good possibility. He wants to take his five official visits. No time frame for a decision.

Graham and his brother, P.J. visited South Alabama and Mississippi State before arriving in Fayetteville late Saturday night. He's on his way to Gainesville to visit Florida. He's also looking to visit Georgia Tech, Kentucky and Louisville.
