FAYETTEVILLE — University of Arkansas women's track and field coach Lance Harter is the South Central Region Coach of the Year.
The award was announced by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Harter led the UA women's team to the Southeastern Conference Outdoor Championship — the school's first outdoor championship in a decade — and he was named the SEC Women's Head Coach of the Year.
The Razorbacks are in Eugene, Oregon, for the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
