Cowan suspended again

— Arkansas receiver D'Arthur Cowan has been suspended again for academic reasons, Razorbacks coach Bret Bielema said Thursday.

Cowan, a junior, missed the majority of Arkansas' spring practices with an academic-related suspension. He was also given a one-week suspension in February.

"D'Arthur will concentrate on his academics and putting himself in a position to move forward academically for eligibility and graduation," Bielema posted Thursday on his Twitter account. He added Cowan "has been suspended from all team activities while maintaining full academic support and guidance," through a team spokesman.

Cowan played in only six games last season after suffering a broken foot during the preseason. In 12 career games he has caught 7 passes for 40 yards and also has 10 kickoff returns totaling 176 yards.
