Friday recruiting tidbits

Jalin Barnett, the nation's No. 1 rated offensive guard, is a major recruit for the Hogs.

Highly regarded offensive lineman Jalin Barnett arrived at Arkansas about 11 and is expected to leave late this afternoon.

Barnett, 6-31/3, 305 pounds of Lawton, Okla. has more than 50 scholarship offers, including Arkansas, Alabama, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Auburn, Stanford and Tennessee. ESPN rates him the No. 1 offensive guard in the nation.

He and Lawton's offensive coordinator made the trip.

Cornerback William Lockett, 6-0, 185, 4.51 and junior receiver Sean Dykes, 6-2, 204, 4,57 of Manvel, Texas will participate in Arkansas' camp on Sunday. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Lockett has 15 offers, including Michigan State, Missouri, UCLA, Kentucky, Washington and others. He's hoping to add one from the Hogs and is a good bet to do so.

Dykes is the son of former Oklahoma tight end Billy Dykes and is the nephew of former Oklahoma State receiver Hart Lee Dykes. His father and Keith Jackson played together at Oklahoma. Running backs coach Joel Thomas is recruiting the two. Dykes' highlights CLICK HERE

As reported on Thursday, safety Kahlil Haughton, 6-2, 180, 4.44 of Waco Midway will not be visiting Arkansas today because of transportation issues. He's looking to visit next Friday.

He has 23 scholarship offers from schools like Arkansas, Oklahoma,TCU, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Duke
