Arkansas Specialist Camp updates

Arkansas defensive line coach Rory Segrest directs his players during practice Thursday, March 20, 2014, at the UA practice field in Fayetteville.

Approximately 70 kickers, punters and snappers are taking part in the Arkansas Specialist Camp today.

The event started about 11:15.

Kicker-punter Daniel LaCamera showed the strongest leg in the first part of the camp. During the kickoff competition, he kicked several balls beyond the end zone. He was also consistent while kicking field goals.

LaCamera, 6-4, 225 of Tarpon Springs, (Fla.) East Lake is rated by Kohl's Kicking as the No. 13 kicker and No. 15 punter in the nation. Kohl's reports him having an offer from Colorado. CLICK HERE

The punting the competition is later this afternoon

More names and updates will be posted after the camp ends at 3:30.

5:22 update

No offers were extended today, but several guys are probably on the watch list.

Stetson Broce of Hutchinson Community College in Kansas came away with the punting award. He won it in a punt off. He averaged about 42 yards a game at Northwestern Oklahoma State. He transferred after NOS went 2-9 last year. He hates to lose.

LaCamara definitely had the strongest leg on kickoffs but struggled in the punting competition.
