Monday recruiting tidbits

Running back Patrick Carr, 5-9, 180, 4.4 of The Woodlands, Texas received an offer from Arkansas last week and now stands at 14 offers. Video highlights CLICK HERE

He has a best of 10.56 seconds in the 100 meters and wants to run track in college. He knows Razorback jumper Ken LeGassey and sprinter/jumper Travis Southard and has been told good things about Arkansas.

He plans to take an official visit to Fayetteville. Running backs coach Joel Thomas is his lead recruiter.

Linebacker Chase Johnston, who had a good performance at Arkansas’ Elite Camp on June 12, won MVP honors at the National Underclassmen Camp in Duncanville, Texas on Sunday. There were approximately 175 athletes at the event.

Johnston, 6-3, 226 pounds of Carl Junction, Mo. was clocked at 4.54 seconds in the 40 yard dash at the Hog camp. Video highlights CLICK HERE

LB Chase Johnston recorded 11.28 seconds in the 100 meters and finished sixth in the state in the shot put with a throw close to 51 feet this spring.

Arkansas junior receiver commit Jordan Jones of Smackover plans to return for Arkansas' July camp.

Defensive end James Lockhart of Ennis, Texas did not visit Arkansas on Saturday like he planned. He's looking to make it at another date.

Little Rock Catholic lineman Luc Bequette , 6-2, 285 plans to visit Navy this upcoming weekend.

He received his fourth offer on Saturday when California offered him as a defensive lineman after he had a good camp. He also has offers from Army, Air Force and La.-Monroe.
