Safety Montrel Wilson, a Baylor commitment, plans to visit Arkansas on July 24.

Wilson, 6-3, 195, 4.59 of Keller, Texas, Fossil Ridge said he wants to make the trip to Fayetteville because of his lead recruiter, running backs coach Joel Thomas and the Hogs play in the SEC. He and a Fossil Ridge assistant coach will make the trip. He has seven offers, including one from Arkansas. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Receiver Denver Johnson, 6-3, 212, 4.59 of Oklahoma City Casady said he's trying to attend Arkansas' July 24 Elite Camp. He's committed to Tulsa. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Athlete McKinley Whitfield, 6-3, 195, 4.5 of Spiro, Oklahoma said he plans to attend the Hogs' Elite camp in July. He's a strong candidate to earn an offer.

He has about 12 offers, Minnesota, Houston, Arkansas State and Memphis.

McKinley showed excellent athletic ability and coverage skills as a defensive back at J.J. Meadors' Salt County Elite 50 Camp at War Memorial Stadium on Friday. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Little Rock Catholic offensive and defensive lineman Luc Bequette, 6-2, 285 received an offer from Navy on Saturday after a good showing at camp. He also has offers from California, Air Force, Army and La.-Monroe. Video highlights CLICK HERE

As noted last week, the NCAA dead period for college football recruiting starts today. Schools can't host prospects for visits for the next two weeks. Visits will resume July 14.
