Tuesday recruiting tidbits

Arkansas associate head coach Sam Pittman talks to reporters during media day Sunday at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

Memphis University School offensive tackle Drew Richmond, who received an offer from Arkansas on Monday, is intrigued by offensive line coach Sam Pittman track record of linemen drafted into the NFL.

Richmond, 6-5, 325, 5.3 said he's now up to 31 offers. He said Pittman told him after this year he'll have 17 offensive linemen drafted into the NFL. He said "Woo" when he heard the number.

He's aware of the Hogs past success with quarterbacks Ryan Mallett and Tyler Wilson. but does have concerns about Arkansas' recent struggles. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Defensive end James Lockhart of Ennis, Texas said he's talking to receivers coach Michael Smith and defensive line coach Rory Segrest and is planning to visit.

He has numerous offers and one from the Hogs looks to be a good possibility in the near future.

As reported earlier, offensive lineman Keaton Sutherland, 6-5, 280, 5.13 seconds in the 40-yard dash, of Flower Mound, (Texas) Marcus will visit the Hogs on Saturday. He has several offers, including Arkansas. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Parkers Chapel freshman Dezmon Jackson placed 108th out of 1,288 athletes at the Nike SPARQ Combine in Houston over the weekend. Only one other freshman scored higher.

Jackson rushed for 820 yards and 12 touchdowns in just six games. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Defensive end James Lockhart of Ennis, Texas reports receiving an offer from Arkansas today. As noted above, he plans to visit the Hogs. He now has 18 offers.

Arkansas point guard target Trey Dickerson's recruiting continues to heat up with an offer from Washington. Brad Winton of Juco Recruiting reported the offer.

North Little Rock receiver K.J. Hill has been offered by Texas Tech. He now has a total of 13 offers.

Point guard Trey Dickerson has added an offer from St, Louis, according to Brad Winton of Juco Recruiting.

Pine Bluff tight end Will Gragg and running back Ronald Jones II of North McKinney High School in Texas were talking during Saturday's visit and found out Gragg's aunt taught Jones a few years ago. He believes it was in the 7th grade.

Jones also went to school with Gragg's cousin from the 6th to the 8th grade.

Gragg received his 17th offer from Kentucky today.

Little Rock Catholic athlete D.J. Brown has received an offer from Southern Miss. He also has offers from Arkansas State and Memphis.
