Bucknam, McLeod earn SEC honors

— Arkansas coach Chris Bucknam and sprinter Omar McLeod earned postseason awards from the Southeastern Conference on Friday.

Bucknam was named the league's coach of the year and McLeod was named co-freshman runner of the year for the indoor season. The Razorbacks won the SEC team championship last week for the third consecutive season indoors.

The coach of the year award is Bucknam's 12th from the SEC in cross country and indoor and outdoor track & field. Bucknam has led Arkansas to a combined nine consecutive league championships in the three sports.

McLeod, a Jamaica native, finished runner-up in the 60 meter hurdles at the SEC meet. He is qualified for the event at next week's NCAA Championships in Albuquerque, N.M.
