Tuesday recruiting tidbits

Arkansas Democrat-Gazette/MELISSA SUE GERRITS 12/13/13 - Bentonville's QB Kasey Ford looks to pass during their championship game against Cabot December 13, 2013 at War Memorial Stadium.

Bentonville sophomore quarterback Kasey Ford received his invitation to the Elite 11 Quarterback Regional Competition in Dallas on May 4.

Ford, 6-5, 237 pounds completed 107 of 185 passes for 22 touchdowns and had 4 rushing touchdowns this past season while leading the Tigers to the Class 7A state title.

North Little Rock junior quarterback Heath Land has also been invited to participate in the Dallas Elite 11 event.

Miami became the latest school to offer Pine Bluff tight end Will Gragg on Monday afternoon. He plans to visit Ole Miss on Sunday.

Highland receiver Deon Stewart talked to Oregon's offensive coordinator Scott Frost on Monday and was told he would talk to him again this week along with the receivers coach. He said Frost plans to visit the school during the spring evaluation period in May.

Fayetteville tight end C.J. O'Grady said he plans to visit Texas and Oklahoma during next week's spring break.

Highland athlete Avery Johnson plans to visit North Carolina this weekend.

Arkansas defensive line signee Bijhon Jackson of El Dorado said he power cleaned 350 pounds with ease a few weeks ago. He set the state record in the power clean last year with a lift of 335 in the Arkansas State High School weightlifting meet. His goal is 370-380 for this year's event.
