First 2 football game times set

— Arkansas' first two games of the 2014 football season will start at 3 p.m. and will be televised by the soon-to-be-launched SEC Network.

The Razorbacks' opener at Auburn is on Aug. 30 while the team's home opener is Sept. 6 against Nicholls State. It is the second consecutive season Arkansas is scheduled to play its season-opener at 3 p.m. to accommodate TV. Last season's opener against Louisiana-Lafayette on Aug. 31 was played in 103-degree heat.

The SEC Network is scheduled to premiere Aug. 14. DISH and AT&T U-Verse are major TV providers who have agreed to carry the network.
