Florida LB set to visit Arkansas

Linebacker Derrick Graham is excited about his offer from the Razorbacks.

Shortly after receiving a scholarship offer from Arkansas, linebacker Derrick Graham made plans to visit the Razorbacks on June 8.

Graham, 6-4, 218 , 4.75 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Wauchula, (Fla.) Hardee has nine scholarship offers, including Arkansas, Mississippi State, Florida International and Florida Atlantic. Defensive coordinator Robb Smith visited his school last Wednesday. Video highlights CLICK HERE

“That’s definitely one of my biggest offers so far,” said Graham, who received his offer from the Hogs on the same day of Smith’s visit. “I want to see the school and the facilities. I like coach Smith. He’s a pretty good person.”

His brother, P.J. will accompany him to Arkansas. Before arriving in Fayetteville, they plan to visit South Alabama and Mississippi State.

Florida and Louisville are among others showing interest. Graham said Smith believes he would be a good addition to the Hogs’ defense.

“Because I’m so long and I’m athletic,” Graham said.

Graham critiqued his skill set.

“I’m pretty good in coverage and I’m also pretty good at getting into the backfield,” Graham said. “I’m a guy they’re looking for in the defensive scheme.”

Graham, who plans to major in something in the agriculture field, knows what he desires in a school.

“A family type atmosphere with the coaches and the players,” Graham said. “A good atmosphere like on game day and what I want to major in.”

He didn’t totally rule out a commitment if he’s blown away by his trip to Arkansas.

“If it’s like that, I might just commit to a school,”he said. “But right now I'm thinking about deciding during the season. “
