Pruitt falls short academically, will attend junior college

Offensive lineman Jovan Pruitt.

Offensive lineman Jovan Pruitt, who signed with Arkansas in February, fell short academically and will have to go to Trinity Valley Community College, according to Dallas Bishop Dunne Coach Michael Johnson.

Pruitt, 6-6, 295, 5.1 seconds in the 40 yard dash, signed with the the Hogs over more than 20 other scholarship offers, including ones from Texas, Oklahoma, Baylor, Ole Miss and Arizona State.

Johnson said Pruitt plans to spend three semesters at Trinity and then sign with Arkansas in Dec. of 2015.
