FAYETTEVILLE — Jacob Morris tied a South Atlantic League record by hitting four doubles in the Kannapolis Intimidators' 11-9 loss to the Hickory Crawdads Monday.
The center fielder went 4-for-5 and had two RBI and three runs scored along with the four doubles for the Chicago White Sox's Class A affiliate.
Only six other SAL players have hit four doubles in a game. It was also a team record for the Intimidators.
Morris has a .236 batting average and had only 11 doubles in 45 games entering Monday's game.
