Hogs ranked No. 25

Arkansas coach Mike Anderson directs his players against Wake Forest during the second half Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, in Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville.

— Arkansas basketball is in the Associated Press Top 25 for the first time in seven years.

The Razorbacks (3-0) are ranked No. 25 following wins over Alabama State, Wake Forest and Delaware State in the first week of the season. It is the first time since November 2007 that Arkansas has been ranked in the poll.

The Razorbacks have several opportunities to prove their ranking over the next few weeks. Arkansas travels to SMU on Tuesday. The Mustangs (2-2) were ranked No. 22 before losses to Gonzaga and Indiana last week.

Following their trip to Dallas, the Razorbacks will also go to No. 13 Iowa State on Dec. 4 and Clemson on Dec. 7. Dayton, who received votes in this week's AP poll, visits Bud Walton Arena on Dec. 13.
