Playing its first game as a ranked team in seven years, Arkansas looked the part Tuesday.

The No. 25 Razorbacks beat SMU 78-72 at Moody Coliseum in Dallas. Arkansas improved to 4-0 overall.

Bobby Portis scored 22 points to lead the Razorbacks before fouling out with 1:15 remaining in the game. Michael Qualls added 13 points in the win.

Arkansas led by as many as 19 points after halftime, but SMU chipped away at the lead and pulled within five points multiple times in the final minute. The Razorbacks made 24 of 33 free throws to help close out the Mustangs.

Yanick Moreira scored 20 points and had 10 rebounds to lead SMU. Keith Frazier added 16 points and Ryan Manuel had 13 points for the Mustangs (2-3).

SMU, ranked No. 23 last week, lost at home for just the second time in 23 games. Arkansas won its 13th consecutive game against the Mustangs, including seven straight at Moody Coliseum.

Tuesday's game was the Razorbacks' first at SMU in 20 years.

Arkansas will host North Texas on Friday at Bud Walton Arena.
