D.J. Williams was signed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 53-man roster Tuesday.
The former Arkansas standout was one of two tight end the Buccaneers added to their roster, as they also promoted Cameron Brate from their practice squad.
The moves come as three of Tampa Bay's tight ends are battling injuries and their statuses are uncertain for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
After being taken by the Packers in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft, Williams spent two seasons in Green Bay, catching nine passes for 70 yards.
He spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars and New England Patriots last season and was cut by the Patriots during the preseason.
