George, Kebenei and Scott earn SEC honors

Three Arkansas cross country runners were honored following the Razorbacks' performance at the Chile Pepper Festival Saturday.

Dominique Scott and Stanley Kebenei earned women's and men's SEC Runner of the Week honors, respectively, while Alex George was named SEC Freshman of the Week.

Both the men's and women's cross country teams won the team title at the Fayetteville race.

Scott won the women's individual title with a record-breaking time of 16:01.00, more than 38 seconds faster than the previous record.

Arkansas took the top individual spot in the men's race, as well, with Kebenei finishing one second ahead of UTEP's Anthony Rotich. George finished 11th.
