Why Georgia won

The Bulldogs didn't make mistakes and capitalized on several ones made by Arkansas. Georgia's 31-point second quarter took the life out of War Memorial Stadium and created a margin too big for the Razorbacks to make up.

Why Arkansas lost

The Razorbacks played their worst half of the season, struggling in all three areas of the game. Offensively, Arkansas stalled after a great opening drive that briefly gave the team the lead and gift-wrapped 14 points because of turnovers. Defensively, the Razorbacks gave up 250 yards before halftime and couldn't contain Georgia's run game. Arkansas also had an extra-point blocked for the second straight game.

Offensive Player of the Game

Georgia running back Nick Chubb ran 30 times for 202 yards and 2 touchdowns, more than filling the void left by the suspended Todd Gurley. Chubb had runs of 43, 33 and 18 before halftime, repeatedly getting past the Razorbacks' first line of defenders. He also had a pair of strong runs late in the game to help Georgia run out the clock.

Defensive Player of the Game

Georgia cornerback Damian Swann recorded 11 tackles, including one sack which forced a fumble that was returned for a touchdown. He also intercepted a pass and had a pass break-up.

Play of the Game

Trailing 10-6, Arkansas' defense forced an incomplete pass on a third-and-7 play near midfield. But cornerback Tevin Mitchel was flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that allowed Georgia to continue its drive. The Bulldogs scored two plays later on a 43-yard run by Chubb.

Fourth Quarter Scores

Arkansas scored 13 points in the final quarter Saturday, nearly doubling its total in the final quarter of its last 11 SEC games.

Prior to Brandon Allen's touchdown pass to Kendrick Edwards, the Razorbacks hadn't scored in the fourth quarter of a conference game since Nov. 9, 2013 during a game at Ole Miss. Alex Collins added a second touchdown in the quarter on a 6-yard run.

Arkansas was out-scored 31-0 in the fourth quarter of losses to Auburn, Texas A&M and Alabama this season.

Under second-year coach Bret Bielema, Arkansas has been out-scored 110-27 during the fourth quarter. The Razorbacks out-scored Georgia 13-7 in the final quarter.

Williams goes for 100 again

Arkansas running back Jonathan Williams eclipsed the 100-yard mark rushing for the third time this season.

Williams rushed for 108 yards on 18 carries. It was his third-highest yardage total this season, having also rushed for 145 yards against Texas Tech and 143 yards against Nicholls State.

The junior didn't score a touchdown Saturday, however, marking the first time this season he was held out of the end zone. Williams has scored 9 touchdowns this year.

Perfect in Arkansas

Georgia improved to 5-0 in games played in the Natural State.

The Bulldogs won their first game ever played at War Memorial Stadium. Georgia previously beat the Razorbacks in Fayetteville in 1992, 2000, 2004 and 2009.

Arkansas has been outscored 182-97 in its home games against the Bulldogs. The Razorbacks are 2-8 against Georgia since entering the SEC.
