Former Arkansas basketball head coach Stan Heath has joined ESPN as a college basketball analyst, according to TheBigLead.com's Jason McIntyre.

Heath coached the Razorbacks for five seasons, leading them to a 82-71 record from 2002-2007. Despite back-to-back 20-plus win seasons and trips to the NCAA Tournament, he was fired after the 2006-07 season after failing to reach the second round of the tournament both years.

Before coming to Arkansas, Heath coached at Kent State for one season, leading the Golden Flashes to a 30-6 record and Elite Eight appearance.

After the Razorbacks fired him, Heath was hired by South Florida, where he coached for seven years. The Bulls had two seasons with at least 20 wins, reaching the NCAA Tournament 2012, but failed to reach .500 the other five seasons.

He was fired from South Florida in March after two consecutive 12-win seasons.
