Hogs receive votes in AP, Coaches' Polls

Arkansas running back Jonathan Williams runs for a 7-yard touchdown during the fourth quarter Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014 at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock, Texas.

A day after a dominating 49-28 road win over Texas Tech, Arkansas received some national recognition.

The Razorbacks garnered seven votes in the Amway Coaches' Poll and three votes in the AP poll.

Eight SEC teams are ranked in the top 25, including seven of Arkansas' eight 2014 conference opponents. Mississippi State, the lone unranked conference opponent on the Razorbacks' schedule, received 92 votes in the Coaches' Poll (No. 27) and 55 in the AP poll (tied for No. 27).

The Razorbacks' next opponent, Northern Illinois, also received votes in the Coaches' Poll. The Huskies got 10 votes, which is good for No. 39 in the country.
