NFL Report: Davis' game marred by fumbles

At first glance, Knile Davis had a big game for the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday.

The former Arkansas running back had 132 yards and one touchdown on 32 carries in the Chiefs' 34-15 win over the Miami Dolphins.

However, Davis also had a pair of fumbles, including one in the fourth quarter when Kansas City was trying to run the clock out.

The fumbles do not concern Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.

"The crazy part of that is that both of them were high and tight," Reid said after the game. "We always talk about that, keeping leverage on the ball. One of them he probably should have put that second hand on it in traffic. The second was kind of a fluke deal. I really don't worry much about him in that area. You saw we came right back to him. It wasn't like we sat him down."

Davis has received the majority of Kansas City's reps at running back the last two weeks because starter Jamaal Charles was injured against the Broncos in Week 2.

Here is an update on the other 12 former Razorbacks that were on 53-man NFL rosters in Week 3.

Alvin Bailey - Seattle Seahawks

When starting left tackle Russell Okung left the Seahawks' 26-20 overtime win over the Denver Broncos, Bailey filled in for four snaps.

Jerry Franklin - Kansas City Chiefs

Franklin had one solo tackle in the Chiefs' 34-15 win over the Dolphins.

Nate Garner - Miami Dolphins

He did not play any offensive snaps, but Garner saw the field for eight special teams snaps in the Dolphins' 34-15 loss to the Chiefs.

Brett Goode - Green Bay Packers

The Packers successfully converted their only extra point and punted five times in their 19-7 loss to the Detroit Lions. Goode is the Packers' starting long snapper.

Chris Gragg - Buffalo Bills

Gragg was inactive for the Bills' 22-10 loss to the San Diego Chargers.

Peyton Hillis - New York Giants

Hillis has yet to get a carry for the Giants, but he did have a special teams tackle in New York's 30-17 win over the Houston Texans. Rashad Jennings, the Giants' starting running back, ran for 176 yards and one touchdown on 34 carries.

Ryan Mallett - Houston Texans

Mallett did not play in the Texans' 30-17 loss to the winless Giants, but Ryan Fitzpatrick, Houston's starter, threw three interceptions and had a Total QBR of 21.

Darren McFadden - Oakland Raiders

Making his second straight start in the place of Maurice Jones-Drew, McFadden had 18 carries for 59 yards in the Raiders' 16-9 loss to the New England Patriots. That is an average of 3.3 yards per carry.

Jason Peters - Philadelphia Eagles

Before being ejected, Peters played 75 percent of the Eagles' offensive snaps in their 37-34 comeback win over the Washington Redskins.

Travis Swanson - Detroit Lions

Swanson continues to receive playing time only in special teams, with seven special teams snaps in the Lions' 19-7 win over the Packers.

George Wilson - Tennessee Titans

In the Titans' 33-7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, Wilson had three tackles and a diving interception. His interception was the first thrown by Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton this season.

Jarius Wright - Minnesota Vikings

Wright did not play in the Vikings' 20-9 loss to the New Orleans Saints, but during the game, Fox reported that he would be Minnesota's backup quarterback in case of an emergency because Christian Ponder was inactive.
