Tuesday recruiting tidbits

Jalen Merrick has become one of the more highly recruited offensive line prospects in the nation with only two seasons under his belt.

Highly recruited offensive tackle Jalen Merrick of New Smyrna Beach, Fla. said Arkansas offensive line coach Sam Pittman will attend his game on Friday.

Hog defensive line commitment Hjalte Froholdt of Bradenton, (Fla.) IMG Academy had 3 solo, 2 assisted tackles and 2 quarterback hurries. Defensive coordinator Joseph Sturdivant said he put a ton of pressure on the quarterback dispute being tripled team all night.

He said Froholdt drew five holding calls because they couldn't block him. He is dominant.

Nashville Coach Billy Dawson said Hog tight ends coach Barry Lunney Jr. visited the school on Monday. Scrapper receiver La'Michael Pettway is down to Arkansas and Ole Miss.

Junior linebacker Jordan Carmouche pf Manvil, Texas reported on Twitter that he received 15 letters from Arkansas and his parents also received some.

Arkansas linebackers coach Randy Shannon and defensive backs coach Clay Jennings visited Dallas Skyline on Monday. They also checked on athlete Kylan Johnson, 6-2, 200, 4.54,, linebacker Anthony Wheeler, 6-2, 220, 4.57 and and defensive lineman Zach Abercrumbia, 6-3, 265, 4.9.

Johnson has nine offers and is planning to officially visit the Hogs. Wheeler and Abercrumbia both have more than 20 offers and are also considering visits to Fayetteville.

Arkansas quarterback commit Ty Storey of Charleston completed 38 of 52 for 404 yards and 6 TDs. He also rushed for a TD in Friday's game.

Coach Bret Bielema visited the school of highly regarded defensive end Gabe Campbell of Yazoo City, Miss. on Monday.

Pittman visited Butler Community College in Kansas on Monday to check on offensive tackle Tyler Howell.

Junior defensive end McTelvin Agim of Hope had 5 solo, 4 assisted tackles, 2 sacks, 4 tackles for loss, 2 recovered fumbles, 3 quarterback pressures.

Offensive lineman Josh Allen of Jacksonville, Fla. University Christian will officially visit for the Ole Miss game.

On Monday, Arkansas State and TCU joined long list of schools showing interest in Pulaski Robinson junior athlete T.J. Hammonds.

Hog receiver commit Deon Stewart has 18 receptions for 439 yards and 5 touchdowns, 12 rushes for 71 yards for the season. He also has 25 tackles and an interception. He had 4 receptions for 134 yards ands a touchdown Friday night.

Ft Smith Northside junior cornerback Kiondre Thomas had 8 tackles, a pass breakup and an interception vs. Fayetteville

Junior Isaiah Graham of Bastrop, La. had 9 receptions for 154 yards and 3 touchdowns. Arkansas was the first school to offer.

LaFayette County junior running back Tre Burks had 25 carries for 331 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Hog tight end commit C.J. O'Grady of Fayetteville had 2 receptions for 51 yards.

Arkansas running back commit Rawleigh Williams of Dallas Bishop Lynch had 27 carries for 146 and a touchdown along with 2 receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown.

Pulaski Robinson junior athlete T.J. Hammonds had 10 carries for 176 yards.

Sophomore running back Desmond Jackson of Parkers Chapel had 22 carries 219 yards and 5 touchdowns. Independence, Mo. junior quarterback Skylar Thompson was 9 of 14 for 127 yards and a touchdown along with a rushing touchdown in less than 2 quarters.

Sophomore running back Darius Hopkins of Nashville 14 carries for 73 yards and a touchdown.

Hog defensive end- tight end commit Jamario Bell had 8 tackles., 5 tackles for loss and 5 sacks. The 5 sacks tied the school record.

Hog receiver commit K.L. Hill of North Little Rock has 162 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns.

Junior quarterback Breylin Smith of Conway completed 5 of 11 for 114 yards and a touchdown.

Arkansas offensive tackle commit Colton Jackson of Conway graded 88%, 2 pancakes, 3 knockdowns and allowed no sacks.
