Making his first career start, Jacob Stone overcame early command issues and allowed just one hit in five innings of work.

The Delta Devils threatened in the first, getting runners on the corners with no outs, but Stone used a pick off, strikeout and pop up to get out of it.

A hit by pitch - the third by Stone in his last two outings - and a walk gave Mississippi Valley State two runners in the second, too. However, Stone settled in and retired the next 10 batters he faced.

Josh Alberius replaced him in the sixth and gave up a solo home run to Kalik May, who had the only hit off Stone. He gave up two hits and struck out three in three innings of work before Kyle Pate came in to close it out in the ninth.

The Razorbacks were led by Tyler Spoon at the plate, who extended his hitting streak to nine games by going 4-for-5. It was his first career four-hit game and the first by an Arkansas player this season.

He had a chance to go 5-for-5, but flew out to right in his final at bat.

Andrew Benintendi hit an RBI-triple in the second and Cullen Gassaway hit a two-run home run in the fifth to spark the offense, as well.
