FAYETTEVILLE — Andrew Benintendi's breakout sophomore season continued Wednesday afternoon.
He hit a pair of home runs - including one of the inside-the-park variety - and finished 3-for-3, helping Arkansas to a 14-0 win over Mississippi Valley State.

With the two homers, Benintendi is tied for the national lead at 11 this season. He also walked twice and scored five runs.
Joe Serrano also collected three hits for the Razorbacks, finishing 3-for-6 with a double and three runs scored. As a team, Arkansas pounded the Delta Devils for 22 runs on 28 hits during the two-game series.
The scoring started with Tyler Spoon's three-run double in the first. The hit extended his hitting streak to 10 games. He was replaced by Carson Shaddy, who hit a pinch-hit grand slam in the fifth to give Arkansas a 12-0 lead.
Benintendi's second home run of the game, a line shot into the wind and over the left field fence, capped the Razorbacks' scoring.
Most of Wednesday's damage was done by the top of the lineup. Arkansas' 1-4 hitters went 11-for-19 and reached base on four walks and one hit by pitch.
On the mound, the Razorbacks got a solid start from James Teague, who gave up two hits and three walks while striking out six in four innings of work.
He was relieved by Jonah Patten, who threw two innings and gave up a pair of hits. Cannon Chadwick, Parker Sanburn and Kyle Pate each got an inning of work.
The biggest threat by Mississippi Valley State came in the seventh, when the Delta Devils hit three straight singles off Chadwick. However, Arrington Smith grounded into an inning-ending double play.
Arkansas continues its seven-game home stand with an SEC series against Kentucky beginning Friday at 6:35 p.m.
