Tuesday recruiting tidbits

Power forward Ted Kapita.

Because the father of his host family will be out-of-town, power forward Ted Kapita isn't expected to sign with Arkansas on Wednesday, the first day of the spring signing period.

Once he's back in West Virginia in a few days, Kapita said he'll sign his national letter of intent with the Hogs.

Kapita, 6-9, 222 pounds of Huntington Prep moved to the United States in 2011 from Kinshasa, Congo and played his junior year at Florida Air Academy in Melbourne before arriving at Huntington for his senior year.

Linebacker Erroll Thompson, 6-2, 255, 4.7 of Florence, Alabama said he plans to visit Arkansas in the spring or summer. The Hogs extended an offer a couple weeks ago and he now has 10.

He attended the Arkansas-Alabama game in Fayetteville last fall and was impressed with the facilities, coaches and fan base. He said he and his lead recruiter and defensive line coach Rory Segrest have a very good relationship.

Thompson said the Hogs are recruiting him as a middle linebacker that could play rush end on 3rd down passing situations. Video highlights CLICK HERE
