Allen signs with Gators

North Little Rock guard KeVaughn Allen has signed his national letter of intent with Florida.

Allen, 6-3, 170 pounds chose the Gators over scholarship offers from Arkansas, Memphis, Kansas, Connecticut, Baylor, Mississippi State and others last year in April. He’s rated the No. 53 prospect in the nation by ESPN.

As a junior, he was the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Player of the Year after helping lead the Charging Wildcats to the Class 7A state title while averaging 21.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

He was named the Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year while leading North Little Rock to another state title as a senior.
