Wednesday recruiting tidbits

Arkansas will have six coaches on the road today, the first day of the spring evaluation period that ends May 31.

Tight ends coach Barry Lunney Jr. will check on commitments T.J. Hammonds of Pulaski Robinson and Austin Capps of Star City.

Defensive line coach Rory Segrest will visit Hope to check on defensive end McTelvin Agim. Baylor is also expected to visit the school.

Receivers coach Michael Smith will visit Smackover and Hog receiver commitment Jordan Jones. He'll also go to Springhill, (La.) North Webster to check on running back Devin White.

Defensive backs coach Clay Jennings is expected to be in Texas to visit Manvel High School and check up on linebacker Jordan Carmouche and running back D'Vaughn Pennamon and others.

Carmouche said he and Hog incoming freshman safety Willie Skyes have been friends for years. He said Sykes is recruiting him hard.

Jennings is also expected to visit Houston, (Texas) Alief Elsik to check on highly recruited linebacker Dontavious Jackson. Jackson said he believed linebacker coach Vernon Hargreaves will also visit.

Linebacker Jeffrey McCulloch of Houston Aldine Davis said Arkansas will visit his school today.

Running backs coach Jemal Singleton is expected to visit Arlington, (Texas) Lamar to check on offensive lineman Chris Owens and receiver Kofi Boateng.

Kentucky became the latest school to offer Arkansas quarterback target Cole Kelley of Lafayette (La.) Teurlings Catholic. Kelley is expected to visit Fayetteville this weekend.

Arkansas receiver target Isaiah Graham of Bastrop, La. said he'll attend Arkansas' spring game on April 25.

Safety Calvin Bundage, 6-3, 195, 4.5 of Edmond, Okla. Santa Fe is expected to visit the Hogs for the spring game, said Brandon Drumm of The Football Brainiacs.

Arkansas incoming freshman defensive lineman T.J. Smith of Moultrie, (Ga.) Colquitt County recently maxed out at 495 pounds in the squat.
