Thursday recruiting tidbits

Power forward Ted Kapita is expected to sign with Arkansas during a 9:22 a.m. ceremony today.

Kapita, 6-9, 222 of Huntington Prep in West Virginia will be one of three to sign with schools during the ceremony.

Arkansas defensive backs coach Clay Jennings and linebackers coach Vernon Hargreaves visited Marrero, (La.) John Ehret High School on Wednesday to check on linebackers De'jon Harris, Michael Divinity and athlete Caron Baham.

All three have offers from the Hogs. Harris plan to visit for the spring game.

Jennings visited the school of Arkansas defensive line commitment Briston Guidry and cornerback Kristian Fulton of Metairie, (La.) Rummel. Both plan to visit the Hogs on Saturday.

Defensive line coach Rory Segrest watched defensive end Caleb Roddy workout at his school on Wednesday.

Roddy of Denham Springs, La. recently visited the Hogs and has Arkansas at the top of his list.

Segrest also visited John Curtis Christian in River Ridge, La. to check on several prospects, including offensive lineman Willie Allen and linebacker Nate Evans.

Running backs coach Jemal Singleton visited the school of running back Elijah Holyfield of College Park, (Ga.) Woodward.

Defensive end Willie Baker of Livonia, La. said Segrest also visited his school. He and Roddy are good friends and plan to take their official visits to Fayetteville at the same time.

He has 11 offers, including Arkansas. Roddy has told him very good things about the Razorbacks.

Segrest visited the school of Destrehan, La. lineman Glen Logan, who hopes to visit Arkansas this summer.

Small forward Dikembe Dixson, 6-7, 190 of Bardstown, (Ky.) Nelson County said on Twitter that Arkansas coach visited on Wednesday and liked what he saw of him. Assistant coach T.J. Cleveland was scheduled to visit. He plans to visit Fayetteville in May.

Offensive guard Boe Wilson, 6-3, 290, 5.2 of Lee's Summit, (Mo.) Lee's Summit West is the son of former Razorback linebacker Harry Wilson. Both plans to visit Arkansas for the Red-White game on Saturday.

Wilson has offers from Louisville and Purdue. He said he learned to call the Hogs as a three year old.

Sophomore linebacker Anthony Hines III of Plano East High School in Texas will visit Arkansas for the spring game. He's considered one of the top 2017 prospects in the nation.
