Once his school’s spring practices ends on May 22, Georgia linebacker Nick Orrell-Jones is planning to visit Arkansas.

“Whenever a weekend is freed up,” he said.

“Arkansas is a SEC school which is obviously a huge magnet,” Orrell-Jones said. “The coaching staff that I’ve at least talked to and have talked to people about Arkansas they only speak the highest about them.”

He’s talked to Coach Bret Bielema, director of recruiting E.K. Franks and his lead recruiter and defensive line coach Rory Segrest.

“They like the film I put out,” he said. “They like that I can play both sides of he ball and not really stick to just one position. They want to get me out to experience the whole Arkansas deal.”

Orrell-Jones has a 330 pound bench press, 265 power clean and 435 squat. Arkansas incoming freshman defensive lineman T.J. Smith of Moultrie, (Ga.) Colquitt County has talked up the Hogs.

“He was talking about how Arkansas feels like a family place and I value that,” Orrell-Jones said. “That’s one of my top priorities.”

Orrell-Jones would expect to play linebacker should he attend Arkansas.

“I think I would play more defense,” he said. “I kind of played more of a fullback, tight end position in high school and not really the tight end they’re looking for. But I obviously can help on that side of the ball as well but they would be looking at me for more on defense.”
