El Dorado junior forward Daniel Gafford, who plays for the 16-under Arkansas Wings in the spring and summer, has committed to Arkansas.
Gafford, 6-10, 217 received a scholarship offer from Arkansas after an outstanding showing at Nike EYBL Peach Jam in Augusta, Ga. while playing for the Wings, Coach Mike Anderson and his staff attended Peach Jam.
Gafford, who averaged 13.4 points, 14.4 rebounds and 6.2 block shots a game for the Wildcats this past season, was one of the top performers of Arkansas' position camp today. He also had offers from Florida, Kansas State, Virginia Tech and others.
Scout.com rates him a 4-star prospect and the No. 11 center and No. 37 overall prospect in the nation for the 2017 class. He's the Hogs' first commitment for the 2017 class.
