John Daly is not having a good day at the PGA Championship.

The former Arkansas golfer hit three straight shots into Lake Michigan on hole No. 7 at Whistling Straights in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, then threw his club into the water.

He ended up shooting a 10 on the par-3 hole, moving him to 7-over for the day. He had a birdie on the fifth hole, but followed with a bogey and the 7-over.

Through eight holes Friday, Daly - the 1991 PGA Championship winner - is 8-over and tied for 131st out of 156 golfers.

There was a happy ending for the club, though, as a young fan on a boat was able to jump into the water and get it for a souvenir.
